Care types

The care types we cater for

Day Care

The Homestead recognises that not everyone requires full time residential care but may be seeking company and a little help during the day.   Day care allows families to be safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being looked after.   We have an extensive activity diary and day residents are actively encouraged to become involved.  Just like being a full time resident, day care can incorporate day to day personal care as well as taking advantage of the visiting hairdresser and chiropodist.

Short Break or respite is available to residents who require temporary care.  If you are a full time care giver and you require a short break then The Homestead can accommodate your needs and your families.  Short stays are also a useful way of assessing whether a care home is the best option for your loved ones long term requirements. All respite and short term stays are on a first come first basis and subject to availability.

Long term residential care and Dementia Care

At The Homestead we pride ourselves on the fact that we have residents that have chosen to live with us in their twilight years.   You may need a helping hand with your day to day living and would like to have the security of 24 hour attention for your needs.  Being so close to Crowthorne centre you are able to go about your daily life but in the knowledge that you always have a welcoming home to come back to.

Unfortunately dementia does effect the older generation and The Homestead specialises in dementia care for those that are suffering from dementia.  We ensure that constant stimulation through day to day activities keeps the mind active and promoting independence for as long as possible.

We work closely with the local GP’s, mental health department and the district nurses so the care for your family member is constantly monitored for the best attention possible.
